Project #9: A wirelessly powered vehicle to grid (V2G) demonstration system

Back

Description:

This project aims to design and build a scaled down version of a vehicle-to-grid (V2G) system to demonstrate the applicability of this concept in energy management. A toy electronic car will be used as an electric vehicle and a supercapacitor is used as its battery. Students are expected to design and build a wireless power interface between the car and the grid to facilitate both the charging and discharging process of the supercapacitor while displaying the details of the charging process.  The project involves modelling, analysis, simulations and both software and hardware design
