Project #51: Infrastructure for wireless long term environment monitoring

Back

Description:

Niwa is currently involved in project that aims to generate real-time data on the health of the air in urban (and possibly rural) areas. They have developed their first version of a instrument platform that can record long term measurements on removable memory media. This project will first investigate solutions to create a wireless network with a very large number of nodes. Secondly, the project will require the creation of a second version of the instrument platform that is amenable to long term deployment with minimal human interaction or maintenance.
