Project #58: Leading edge vortices on low-rise building with various roof slopes

Back

Description:

Analysis of the flow around the Silsoe Cube has shown that some of the highest suction pressures are created as the result of the periodic formation and shedding of strong vortices. This project will investigate whether similar patterns exist with low-rise building with a variety of roof pitches. The investigation will involve the manufacture and wind tunnel testing of a range of models.
