Project #63: Further development of a dexterous anthropomorphic hand

Description:

This project aims to improve the design and manufacture of an existing low-cost, adaptive hand prosthesis with the aim of improving the design and ease of manufacture and assembly. It will utilise FDM 3D manufacturing methods and 'snap' assembly techniques.

Outcome:

The outcome is hoped to be the development of cheap and easily manufactured prosthetic hand which has an appearance and functionality similar to that of a real hand. The designed product may be body of sensor powered and, importantly, possess an effective design of the thumb.
