Project #74: Longitudinal vehicle speed control using a robotic driver

Back

Description:

The UoA robotic driver has been in development for several years. This project will focus on implementing and testing vehicle speed control using the existing hardware. Initial testing will be carried on a test rig with a simulated vehicle but the aim is conduct testing on a real vehicle using the chassis dynamometer at Newmarket. Tasks include control design, hardware testing (electronic and pneumatic), programming, etc. If you are interested in this project, please email me (h.namik@auckland.ac.nz) to setup a time to discuss. This project is suitable for a pair of mechatronics students or the pair consisting of a mechanical and a mechatronics student.
