Project #101: Student to lecturer in-class interaction tool

Back

Description:

The goal of this project is to design and build a web-based interaction tool that will enable students to ask questions within the time constraints of a typical lecture. Many students, particularly in a large class environment, are reluctant to ask questions. This may be due to anxiety associated with asking a question in front of their peers or interrupting the lecturer. As a result there tends to be very little interaction in such classrooms, potentially limiting learning, and our tool may help to address this problem. Specifically, the software will allow students to pose questions while a lecture is taking place, and these can then be prioritized. The lecturer may then choose to view and answer the highest priority questions within the flow of the lecture.
