Project #107: Wireless Measurement Ruler

Back

Description:

The aim of the project is to design a wireless digital measuring tool, as well as investigating algorithms to accurately calculate distance using accelerometer data. The tool can be used in tight, compact places where a conventional ruler may not reach. Distance would be measured by moving the tool steadily along the edge of an object. In addition to this, a phone app would process, store and display the measured data.
