Project #109: Multi-processor System on Chip for Real-time Face Detection

Back

Description:

State-of-the-art FPGAs integrate multi hard core processors in addition to configurable logic resources on a single chip, which provides opportunities to use HW/SW co-design paradigm to design embedded systems. Using air drones for different types of applications such as surveillance, search and rescue, environmental monitoring etc has extended in recent years. To meet the specified design constraints for such systems and explore the possibilities for cost/performance trade-offs, HW/SW co-design approach can be employed. The aim of this project is to investigate and design hardware and software components of a proper navigating control system for air drones.
