Project #133: The future of secure data transfer, especially in relation to healthcare and sensitive, time-sensitive messaging

Back

Description:

Society expects data to flow freely and be available on demand while the demand for privacy and digital security of data grows. This project will investigate how to meet the need to allow data to flow quickly and efficiently while protecting privacy. In particular, this project will focus on the use case in the healthcare industry where access and accuracy of private data is critical to achieving optimal outcomes of patients. This information must be freely available to those who need it to treat patients and due to the sensitive nature of patient data this information must be kept secure. This project will research the current state of secure messaging and what could be done to improve upon this. The project will conclude with a proof of concept on the preferred future state of secure messaging.
