Project #22: Carpooling app for UoA staff/students

Back

Description:

The main idea of the project is to develop carpooling app for students in different streams. Compared to a general carpooling app, the developed app can take advantage of the fact that students in the same stream/course are more likely to carpool and trust each other for safety reasons.

Scheduling carpools for students of different streams can also be optimised, e.g., students in engineering come in the morning for lectures in a vehicle and then the same vehicle is used to get students in arts (or some other stream) back home. Thereby, reducing the co2 emissions and optimising travel times, etc.

Type:

Undergraduate

Outcome:

A car pooling application for students at UoA that leverages class schedules for optimising travel times and reducing pollution.

Prerequisites
