Project #45: Automated documentation support

Back

Description:

Software documentation is meant to provide stakeholders with useful knowledge about the software product. However, it often is missing, out-dated, or incorrect. Recent research has identified many specific documentation problems. This research project will develop techniques and a proof-of-concept tool that can help to automatically identify problems in software documentation. The project will include a detailed study of documentation on popular open source software projects to evaluate the accuracy of their documentation.
