This project is sponsored by Swiss UAV manufacturer Anavia (https://www.anavia.eu/). In this project you will manufacture a 3D model of their UAV and conduct wind tunnel testing in order to assess the aerodynamics of the UAV with a focus on the tail boom geometry and functionality. You will test different tail boom geometries and designs to improve: (1) stability at high speeds, (2) cross-wind sensitivity, (3) overall drag.
