In this project you will further develop an experimental rig for measuring the forces acting on a kayak paddle and then use the rig to conduct experiments to measure these forces. This will specifically require you to implement an accurate force measurement system as well as a system for determining the exact location of the paddle during each "stroke". If you are interested, you could also model the forces using computational fluid dynamics simulations.
