Aged care has become a popular domain for computerized applications. Similar to hospitality systems, AI-enabled assistants have been deployed in rest homes and elderly care facilities to provide a smart environment of personalized care. These smart systems not only dramatically reduce the physical workload of caregivers but also offer artificial intelligence-driven precision in healthcare. This project extends an existing implementation of a senior citizen companion application into a smart AI assistant. The aim is to develop a software solution with AI support for smart home care. Activity-related information will be collected and analyzed to determine patient risk factors. The study has the potential to provide clinicians and researchers with insights into rest home patients and their care management, thereby improving overall healthcare practices.
