Project #55: Enhanced Indoor Activity Tracking with Risk Management

Back

Description:

Dementia is a complex and progressive neurodegenerative condition. People with dementia often like to walk around their home or leave the house to walk around the neighborhood, sometimes referred to as wandering behavior. Wandering behavior can result in the person with dementia getting lost or encountering dangers such as falls. This concern drives our project to develop an innovative indoor tracking system. It aims to reduce the risks associated with wandering behavior and to enhance safety, freedom, and dignity among people living with dementia. This project extends an existing implementation that utilizes Ultra-Wideband (UWB) technology and is aimed at enhancing the risk management functionalities. Evaluation will be conducted to measure the effectiveness of the solution.
