Project #61: Plant monitoring system to estimate harvesting timing

Back

Description:

This project will develop a system to monitor the changes of plant growing. We have a working version that detects target, which is tomato, and measures its size and volume. May need to train Deep Neural Network (DNN) models to improve the accuracy of existing methods, detect disease and measure its ripeness. We will finally estimate their harvesting timing and let farmers know. All necessary devices will be provided.

Project scope will be decided after the meeting with supervisors. You will bring to the role a passion for research and engineering, excellent computing skills (including a high level of programming ability), and a strong sense of responsibility. It will be better if you have an experience on vision processing and/or using DNN.
