Project #110: mmWave based human activity recognition

Back

Description:

mmWave is an emerging technology and has several benefits in comparison to existing sensors. However, it is currently rarely used for smart environment applications. This project aims to explore the capability of mmWave radar for the purpose of performing various types of indoor human activity recognition. The team will need to investigate and design a mmWave radar based system to recognise common human activities.

Type:

Undergraduate

Outcome:

The group will

1.     Explore and understand the mmWave technology.

2.     Investigate the performance of mmWave technology for human activity recognition applications.

3.     Evaluate the performance of mmWave technology targeting recognising common human activities.
